DAVID ZHANG
General Manager, Investment Committee Member
David is a director of the Trustee for each of our Funds and has a key role as General Manager of the Fund Manager. David has extensive experience across Asia, with particular focus on mainland China and Australia. David brings over 20 years of expertise in financial markets, funds management, fundraising and strategy to the team.
David has unique insight into the requirements of investors, the international markets
and funds and brings to the team an extensive industry and investor network.
David has been involved in over $1 billion of Australian Commercial Real Estate Debt.
David is highly qualified in both the broader business and financial space and holds an MBA, Diploma in Financial Service (AFMA) and Diploma of Investment (PS 146).
Bilingual and an accredited interpreter David is skilled in management of funds at an international level.
STONE XIAO
Chief Financial Officer, Investment Committee Member and
Compliance Officer
Stone Xiao is a responsible manager on the Licensee’s AFSL. He is the Investment Manager’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Compliance Officer (CO) of Licensee’s AFSL.
With a solid background in finance, accounting and developments, Stone brings a deep understanding of the real estate industry and operational expertise in the funds management space.
Stone is experienced in many areas of accounting and compliance including trust accounting, month end financial reporting, consolidation of group accounts, management reporting, banking reporting, statutory accounts, liaising with auditors, supervision of
accounting and finance functions, oversight of adherence to internal control
procedures, investor reporting and financial transaction management.
Stone also has property management experience across residential, commercial and retail property and accounting experience specialising in asset protection, risk management, property accounting and tax compliance.
Stone has structured or been involved in over $2 billion of property and structured real estate transactions.
Stone is a qualified Fellow CPA with CPA Australia and a qualified CA with CA ANZ. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Accounting) from Macquarie University and holds an NSW real estate agent licence and NSW strata managing agent licence.
ANTHONY KALAF
Fund Manager, Investment Committee Member
Anthony Kalaf is a responsible manager on the Licensee’s AFSL. He is the Investment Manager’s fund manager and is responsible for implementing and managing the investment strategy for each of our Funds, providing ongoing reporting to each of the Fund’s Trustee’s, and monitoring the performance of the Fund’s investments. Anthony is familiar with the operation, objectives and strategy of the Fund through his extensive experience in financial investments, financial markets and funds management.
Anthony brings a wealth of experience from managing over $3 billion in fund investments and has been involved with over $2 billion in structured real estate transactions in the last decade.
Anthony is a financial services professional with extensive experience in funds management, financial and investment markets, private banking, commercial property and licensing and operational requirements for financial service organisations. Following 17 years in financial markets working with local and foreign financial institutions, Anthony completed a Master of Applied Finance and, since then, has worked across many fund
management roles covering property, hotels, securities, equities, derivatives, foreign exchange, deposits, mortgages and private equity.
Anthony is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).
JACK QIAN
Head of Property and Risk
Jack is the Investment Manager’s Head of Property and Risk. He oversees our risk policies and monitors the performance of the fund's investment projects.
Jack is a seasoned building industry professional and a key member of the project assessment team. With over 35 years of experience, Jack has extensive knowledge in project delivery, residential and commercial property markets, project financing, risk analysis, and operational requirements.
Jack has worked with both local and foreign companies, gaining expertise in land use analysis, planning design optimization, project feasibility analysis, design and construction.
GEOFF ROBINSON
Head of
Investment - Consultant
Geoff is an experienced leader in property investment specialising in borrower relationships, deal review and execution. With over 25 years of experience in property valuation, development management and commercial property finance he offers a multi-dimensional perspective and a vast national network across key property sectors.
His career began in property valuation across the core sectors before specialising in residential development valuations. This foundation allowed him to develop a strong ability to assess value versus risk. His expertise deepened through roles working in development management, followed by senior national roles in property finance where he was responsible for property risk, deal structuring and client coverage at Australia’s two largest banks. In these roles, Geoff supported a diverse range of domestic and international clients across business banking and corporate property finance.
Geoff is a certified valuer without limitation and an Associate and former NSW Divisional Councillor of the Australian Property Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Property Economics) from the University of Western Sydney.
PETER WARNE
Head of Credit - Consultant
Peter is the Head of Credit, responsible for overseeing finance application due diligence and decision-making processes for finance applications. With over 40 years of experience in Property Finance, including a prominent tenure at Australia’s largest bank, Peter brings deep expertise to leading the Line 1 Risk function.
Throughout his career, Peter has worked across a diverse range of asset classes, including traditional sectors such as commercial, industrial, large-scale bulky goods, retail, and residential (investment and development). He also has specialised knowledge in asset types including accommodation, motels, pubs, and self-storage facilities.
Peter holds multiple finance qualifications from Charles Sturt University and the Securities Institute of Australia.
